Beloved brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Jim was the son of J. Dale McClung and Alyce Joyce Gibbons. He served almost 4 years in the Air Force, being stationed in Alaska and Carswell Air Force Base. He worked for 25 years for the federal government after receiving his Bachelor of Science Degree in Building and Sciences from Auburn University.
Jim had two sons and three daughters as well as one step-son and three step-daughters. He was a wonderful soul who had a way of making you feel like he was always happy to see you. One of his daughters relates how he loved to "spin yarns" and get you totally roped into believing the tale before a twinkle in his eye let you know that you had been had. When he smiled, you couldn't help smiling back. His third wife, Donna, has 9 brothers and sisters. When they all get together, it can be quite a wild time. Jim just jumped right in and went along for the ride. We love him for the sweet person he was and for the happiness he brought to our family. We were blessed for knowing him.
Jim was also survived by a brother, Joe W McClung and Nancy McClung/Matetzschk.
