William F Kattner 62 of Star Route Jim Thorpe,he was a Tavern operator for over 35 years,passed away yesterday in Sacred Heart Hospital,Allentown.
Born in East Mauch Chunk,he was the son of the late Fredrick and Bertha (Hawk) Kattner.
He was a member of St.Joseph Catholic Church,Jim Thorpe.His wife the former Mary Holpit died in 1952.
Surviving are five sons,William Jr.with the Pa. State Police in Harrisburg,Fredrick of Star Route,Francis and Bernard and James all of Jim Thorpe,three brothers Joseph Kattner, John Kattner,and Bernard Kattner all of Star Route,Jim Thorpe.five sisters Dorothy Callen of Nesquehoning,Elizabeth wife of John Huber,Albertine wife of Bernard Lienhard,Lena wife of Andrew Hydro All of Jim Thorpe,Mary wife of Joseph Hydro,and seven grandchildren.He was preceded in death by an infant daughter Mary Elizabeth and sisters Margaret Kattner and Bertha Kehrli.
