Goldia May Davis Ramay was the daughter of Crockett(Crock) and Lillie Pearl Cantrell Davis. Goldia was born in Kittie, Choctaw Nation (Now Clarita, Coal County, Oklahoma)
She married Finous Ramay in 25 August 1923 in Coalgate, Coal County, Oklahoma and they had 10 children.
Finous and Goldia (Goldie) moved from Oklahoma to California in the early 1930's.
Goldie would go out each morning and collect eggs from the chicken coop. She raised all kinds of animals. (Cow's, Chicken, Lambs, and Ducks.) I remember Thanksgiving Dinner would be running around the yard in the morning and in the afternoon it was on the table.
Grandma always had cabinets full of Canned fruits and vegitables. She had a large garden in the back yard and would grow alot of her own fruits and vegitables. She had all kinds of fruit trees in the yard. Fruit has never been as sweet as the ones grown on her trees. I still cant eat plumbs without thinking of her.
