She is survived by her husband of 62 years from whom she had never been separated until her recent illness, other that during World War II, and to whom she was married 18 November 1942 at St. John's Reformed Church, Sabillasville, MD. She was a homemaker her entire life and her greatest contentment came from gatherings that included her children and grandchildren. In addition to her husband she is survived by four children: Cynthia Lou McJonathan-Swarm and husband David, Waynesboro; Kay Lynn Shook, Raleigh, NC; Dennis Lee Fox and wife Linda, Lavale, MD and Rodney Dwight Fox, Frederick. She had 15 grandchildren: Susan Elizabeth Twigg, the eldest was raised together by her grandparents and her mother, Walkersville; John Paul Bewley, Waynesboro; SSgt. Raymond Henry McJonathan, USAF; Benjamin David Sherrard Walkersville; Stephen Raphael McJonathan, Smithsburg; Samuel Payton Harwell McJonathan, Frederick; Michael Wayne Shook, Jr., Sag Harbor, WA; Andrea Karol Shook, Raleigh, NC,; Tammey Denise Torres, Walkersville; Laura Elaine Williams, Walkersville, Daniel Lee Fox; Aaron Emory Fox, Fredrick; Emma Colleen Fox, Lavale; Andrea Heather Sadler, Frederick; Rodney Dwight Fox, Jr., Frederick; Kristi Diane Fox of Frederick and 14 great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister and two brothers Lois Hightman, Hagerstown; George Ronald Boward, Thurmont; Richard Lee Boward, Salisbury, MD. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was predeceased by an infant brother and sister and one brother Jimmy at three years of age. In their later years at home Tu was their constant companion.
