Born into a family of 13 children, Bud graduated from Rothville High School, Rothville, MO, and Chillicothe Business College, Chillicothe, Mo where he earned a business degree. He started his business career at the W.C. Tingle Company in 1948, holding various positions in the company, and served as President until his retirement in 1996. Today, The Tingle Company is headed by his son, "Chip" Moxley who relocated it to Lee's Summit in 1999.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Peggy Joyce Lyons Moxley. They were married October 22, 1949. Together they have two children. A daughter: Joyce Lynn Thomas, born April 4, 1953, who resides in California with her husband, Carlton Thomas. Their son, Wesley "Chip" Moxley, III was born June 11, 1955. He resides in Lee's Summit with his wife, Debra Vannoy Moxley. Bud is survived by his mother-in-Law: Mary Belle Lyons, who resides in Lee's Summit, MO. Bud's granddaughters are Lynn Marybeth Ashworth of Chino Hills, California; Liza Marie Wall of Lee's Summit, MO, Lauren Lee Moxley, a graduate student at University of Missouri - Columbia, and Elle Rose Moxley, a senior at Lee's Summit North High School. His grandsons are Jaye Ethan Thomas and Jordan Avery Thomas, of Chino Hills, California. Bud was very proud to have his great-granddaughter, Moira Elisabeth Yturralde, who is almost 12 and resides in Chino Hills, CA, visit him this past Christmas. Bud also leaves five surviving siblings: Sisters, Karen Jeffress of Grain Valley, Arlene Head of Mexico, Mo., Billie Brown and Patty Clark and brother J.T. "Joe" Moxley of Medford, Oregon. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Bud was a long-time member of the Raytown Rotary Club, and was a Board member of the Raytown YMCA, serving on the Building Committee which built the first Raytown YMCA building in 1960's. He was an active member Ararat Shrine and was always willing to lend his support to community and charitable causes. Bud was a deacon of the Raytown Baptist and Spring Valley Baptist Churches. Bud's pride and joy was his kids and his grandkids, and together he and Peggy made sure they all had a great childhood and start in life.

We will love you and miss you forever, Dad and "Papa Bud." A visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the Langsford Funeral Home. The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Langsford Funeral Home, 115 SW Third Street, Lee's Summit. Burial will be at Floral Hills East cemetery after the service.
