RED ROCK — Michael Koshiway Pendleton, resident of Red Rock, died Monday, Nov. 12, 2001, in Honolula, Hawaii. He was 21.
The funeral will be held at noon Monday, Nov. 19, in the Otoe-Missouria Cultural Center in Red Rock with the Rev. Toby Blackstar officiating. Burial will be in the Otoe-Missouria Cemetery under direction of Poteet Funeral Home of Pawnee.
Michael Koshiway Pendleton was born June 24, 1980, in Walnut Creek, Calif., the son of Michael Alan Pendleton and Charlene Rochelle Haze. He entered the U.S. Army in April of 2001, took basic training at Fort Benning, Ga., and was stationed in Honolula, Hawaii. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, dancing and listening to golden oldies.
Survivors include his parents; a brother, Nathanel K. Pendleton of Steelville, Mo.; a daughter, Jaden M. Biggoose; two step-brothers, Thomas and Sonny Ray Haze; stepfather, Albert Haze of Steelville, Mo.; stepmother, Janette Pendleton of Steelville, Mo.; grandmother, Thelma Koshiway Johnston; and other relatives.
