Jane Molinaro Cocca
Birth: Dec. 4, 1920
Pennsylvania, USA
Death: Feb. 26, 2003
La Mirada

California, USA

Jane was born on December 4, 1920 to Mary and Micheale Molinaro, Italian immigrants in Verona, Pensyvaina.
From a young age she knew the value of hard work. Times were tough as the Depression was a fact of life for an 8 year old. As the oldest of seven children at that young age, she took on odd jobs to help out her family as much as needed.
When she was older, she had set her sights on becoming an accountant, but as fate would have it, World War II started. She found herself working for the Navy at Roosevelt Base in Long Beach, California. She voulnteered with the USO. On one occasion she was planning a social. A scraggly looking sailor standing watch asked if he too could come. Later that night, that sailor attended the social clean shaven and in his pressed whites, and it was love at first sight! She and Frank were together til the end of the war and were married on December 22, 1945. Frank was by her side for 57 years until her death. They went on to have 4 childeren, 11 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren. Of us 11, Grandma called us her "11 pearls and 2 diamonds".
Grandma left behind many legacies. She wasn't a rich woman in the sense of money...however she was richer than any millionare. She had her family who love her more than anything in the world. She will always have a place in our hearts.
