Funeral services are to be held at two o'clock this afternoon at Lydia Robson Presbyterian church for Benjamin B Perry, 70, former member of the Kanawha County school
board, who died Wednesday night at his home, Stop 8, Dunbar line. He had only been ill two weeks.
The Rev J S Gray is to officiate and burial is to be in Spring Hill cemetery.
Mr Perry was a pioneer resident of the Kanawha valley and was the last of the family of his father, John Perry of Malden. For a number of years he was a bridge engineer for the Kanawha and Michigan railway company and prior to his illness he was connected with Wallace Knight company. He was supervisor of the contracting for the governor's mansion.
Mr Perry was a member of Montgomery I O O F lodge and for ten years served as deacon of Lydia Robson church.
Honorary pallbearers are to be Dr C A Ray, Dr C E Copeland, B W Rhodes, O H Rusk, J E Shank, H A Shirkey, John Walters, John Smith and Howard Smith. Active pallbearers are to be George Corrie, H C Kenyon, C H Goff, S C Casto, E E Cox and B E Hudson.
He is survived by his widow: Mrs Margaret Selbe Perry; one daughter, Mrs W B Dickerson of Stop 8; five sons: R B Perry of Huntington; Frank L and J S Perry of Stop 8, and Clarence S and W L Perry of Charleston.
