Steve was the second child of H H "Harry" Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Rosa Kathaleen "Kitty" Schroader. Steve was 1 year, 4 months and 13 days old when he passed away. His death was due to being accidentally ran over by his father. Steve suffered a fractured skull w/severe head injuries and ruptured spleen.
CORONER'S INQUEST: H. N. Wick, Deputy Coroner held Inquest Thursday September 4, 1952 at 9:30am in Chicago Heights (Cook County), Illinois. Death was ruled accidental.
FUNERAL ARRANGEMENTS: Spindler-Koelling Co.; 1448 Otto Boulevard, Chicago Heights, Illinois. Record/Account# 4854; Casket # 790T was made by Chicago 2650' description 3-6 White Satin with Blue Ribbons, including box; cost $95; Flowers from Hanson Florist; cost $20; Total cost $115. Survivors were Parents; 1 sister Rose, age 5; Grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Henry Pierce, Sr. of Richton Park; Mr. Owen Schrader (Schroader) of Chgo. Hts. and Mrs. Ethel Herrmann of Chgo. Hts. Informant on history (of deceased) was Henry H. Pierce, Jr.; funeral account charged to same.
