Matt was a very personable young man and he had many friends. He totally loved his niece and nephews.
Over 600 people had attended his funeral.
At the time of his death, Matt was getting ready to go to College either at Trinity College or University of Maine. He was travelling back from filling out college papers, when he was involved in a motorcycle accident.
His family told me he loved fireworks, so a family tradition is to light fireworks off near his grave on his birthday.
God Bless you, Matt, and may you rest in peace.
When I come to the end of the road,
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room ...
Why cry for a soul set free?
Miss me a little, but not too long,
And not with your head bowed low;
Remember the love that we once shared ...
Miss me - but let me go!
For this is a journey we must all take,
And each must go along;
It's all part of the "Master's" plan ...
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds ...
Miss me - but let me go
Awaiting the Resurrection.
