ATHENS -- Funeral for Laura Lou Beasley, 95, of Lester will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Rev. Ray Blankenship officiating.
Burial will be in New Salem Cemetery with Limestone Chapel Funeral Home directing.The family will receive friends tonight from 6 to 9 at the funeral home. The body will be in the church one hour before the service.
Mrs. Beasley died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2001, at her daughter's home. She was born March 8, 1906, in Limestone County to Wiley D. Crowson and Florence Crowson. She was a retired Limestone County School teacher who taught for 50 years. She was a member of the Retired Teacher Association and the United Methodist Women's Missionary Society. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Coleman Beasley. She was the mother of the late William Bill Crowson Beasley.
