Florence Grace Crowson was born Florence Grace Hillis and was later adopted by the Rev. Joshua Phelps and his wife Lydia of Limestone County, AL after the death of her mother. She was the daughter of John Mac(k) Hillis, the granddaughter of Andrew "Jackson" Hillis and Aliza "Elizabeth" Hawkins, and was preceded in death by her husband, Wiley Daniel Crowson, and a son, Lester Crowson. She was a resident of Cartright Community in Limestone County, AL and a member of what is now Lebanon Community Church.

CROWSON FUNERAL SERVICES TODAY:
Funeral services for Mrs. Florence Grace Crowson, 78, were held today at 3 p.m. from Lebannon [sic?] Methodist Church. Bro. W. L. Cole officiating. Interment was made in the adjoining cemetery. McConnell Service in charge.
The deceased, a resident of Elkmont 2, died yesterday afternoon in Jackson's Clinic following an extended illness.
She is survived by three daughters. Mrs. Henry Christopher, Elkmont 2, Mrs. Alma Price, Pittsburg, Pa., and Mrs. Coleman Beasley, Lester 1; five sons, Emmett, Homestead, Fla., Marvin, Detroit, Michigan, Thomas, Calvert City, Ky., and Robert, Ramey Air Force Base, Puerto Rico.
Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and two sisters.
Active pallbearers were Robert and Charles Christopher, Billy and Bobby Beasley, Walton Jackson, and Arthur Thorne.
