Stokes G. Lewis
Stokes G. Lewis, 85, husband of Susie Masters Lewis, of Cochranville RD 2, died Sunday at Community Memorial Hospital, Jennersville, PA.
Born in Mitchell County, N. C., son of the late Joseph and Emily Hughes Lewis, he moved to Chester County in 1918, and engaged in dairy farming in the Jennersville area.
In 1939 Mr. Lewis and his son, Chester, founded a farm implement business near Jennersville, which is still operated as S. G. Lewis and Son. Mr. Lewis attended the Church of the Brethren, of Jennersville.
Surviving in addition to his wife and son Chester R. of Lincoln University are three other sons, I. H. Lewis of West Grove; Carl H. and Javine F., both of Cochranville; two daughters, Ethel, wife of Joseph Franklin, of Oxford; and Ruth, wife of Charles Edwards, of Coatesville; a sister, Mrs. Nancy Pate, of San Bernadino, Cal.; 11 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services from the Foulk Funeral Home, Rosehill Ave., West Grove, Pa., on Thursday, March 25th, at 2 p.m. Interment Faggs Manor Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday, 7 until 9 p.m.
