George Aaron Rader
Birth: 1806
Greenbrier County
West Virginia, USA
Death: Dec. 27, 1877
Lee County
Kentucky, USA

No dates on stone. Just name George A. Rader.

Does anyone know for sure that his middle name was Aaron? I have seen numerous grandchildren of his that have all been named Albert.

A lot of people (on Ancestry.com) have George with a death date of 24 Dec 1887, but George died prior to 1880. He is not found in the census of that year, and his wife Mary is shown as a widow in 1880. I believe it might actually be 1877. When visiting the cemetery on 09-14-2013, I saw that the old stone had 'Died Dec...' on it. We (Mike Mays and I) raised the stone but could not distinguish any further dates on the stone. The death date could very well have been 24 Dec 1877, 1878 or 1879?

I put the dates above on this record, but they are not on the actual stone that is there.

As for the birth place of Greenbrier county, West Virginia--there was no West Virginia in 1806. It was part of Virginia.
