Rader Rites Are Held
Bob Rader, 24, a resident of Chariton for 7½ years, drowned Wednesday evening at Red Haw State Park.
He was a 1975 graduate of Chariton Community High School. Shortly afterwards he enlisted in the United States Army in which he served for four years. For the past year he had been employed at the Chariton Group Home.
He is survived by his mother, Mildred and stepfather, Leo Strauser, a sister Teresa Strauser and a brother Leo Strauser, Jr., all of Chariton; three brothers, Gary and Ronnie, who are currently serving in the armed forces, and James of LaVerne, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Cecil (Barbara) Pruiett of Chariton; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Stephens of Winfield, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his father Lucion Rader.
Funeral services were held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday, at the Fielding Funeral Home with the Rev. Troy Morrison conducting. Burial was in the Chariton Cemetery.
