Frank M Strasser, life-long resident of Peconic and Southold, died suddenly at his home on Youngs Ave, Southold on April 30th. He was born in Peconic, the son of the late Mr and Mrs Martin Strasser on March 4, 1890.

Mr Strasser had made his home in Southold nearly all his life moving from Peconic when he was about 6 years old. He had been a contractor painter and carpenter until he retired a short time ago and became custodian of the Southold Fire House. He was a member of the Holy Name Society of St Patrick's Church, Stirling Council, Knights of Columbus, and of the Hook and Ladder Co. of the Southold Fire Department.

Mr Strasser had a genial disposition and was always willing to lend a helping hand to any worthy cause or to someone in need. His host of friends will miss him.

A Requiem Mass was offered at St Patrick's Church, Southold on May 3rd by the Rev Patrick J McLaughlin, pastor. Interment was in St Patrick's Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs Beulah Davids Strasser; 1 daughter Mrs Beatrice Webb of Southold; two sons, Francis A and William D Strasser, both of Southold; two sisters, Mrs Florence Carroll of Southold and Mrs Mary Bond of Halesite LI; two brothers, George Strasser of St Petersburg, FL and Antone Strasser of Lake George, NY and six grandchildren.
