Brian C. Gwaltney, 21, of Kansas City, MO, passed away Saturday, September 30, 2000, at Baptist Medical Center. Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, October 3, at the Newcomer Stine and McClure Chapel; burial in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, Lyon County, KS. The family suggests contributions to the Kansas City Art Institute.
Brian was born in Topeka, KS, and had lived in the Kansas City area for three years. He was the coffee shop manager at Bloomsday Book Store in Brookside, and was a talented artist in the Kansas City area. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Curly Robinson, in 1981, and Marjorie Robinson, in 1993. Survivors include his girlfriend, Heather Nunez of Kansas City; his father, Darrell Gwaltney, his mother, Sheryl Robinson, a brother, Jason Gwaltney, two half brothers, Wyett Gwaltney and Walker Gwaltney, and his paternal grandparents, Vesta and Jean Gwaltney, all of Topeka, KS.
