Linda was born to Andrew and Zora Floyd February 2, 1922 in Fairmont NC. She was one of nine children, four sister's Snoe, Francis, Lorena (who all predeed her in death) and Thelma Grace Floyd Whitworth and four brother's Roland, Graham, Hope (who all preceded her in death) and Phonell Floyd(my dad).

She came to Detroit, Michigan in 1930 when she was eight years old. She was educated in the Detroit public school system and graduated from Norhtwesten High School. She was was a member of Prince of Peace Church in Detroit and later joined Galations Baptist Church under the pastorage of Rev. Burrells where she was a life time member.

Linda was first married to Eddie Jones and to that union they had one child Grennette. She was later married to Willie Mallett February 9, 1974 who remained her husband until his death in 1984.

Linda was known for her quiet demeanor, she spent most of her life inseparable from her sister Lorena who preceeds her in death and also her only child Grennette who also preceeds her in death. Linda is my aunt on my fathers side of the family.
