Mary Ellen Powers is the daughter of Ephriam Woodruff and Mary Jane (Landon) Powers. She married Adam Martin ("Mart") Whitcomb, April 20, 1881 in Ferry, MI. They had 2 daughters, Laura and Estella.
Mary Ellen and Mart were active members in the Wesleyan Methodist Church in Ferry, MI.
Mary Ellen suffered from cancer for several years before her death. She rests beside her beloved husband, Mart, in the Ferry Cemetery.
