This is my mother-in-law, in which I had never had the opportunity to meet. She passed away about a year before I met my husband. My husband and his sister were very close to their mother and although I never met her I can tell you she did an outstanding job in raising her children.
She was born in Jackson County, TN. When she was a young girl her family moved to Christopher, IL where she met her husband Hovie Browning. They soon went to Clay County, TN to get married. They married on Feb. 21, 1923. They then returned to Christopher where her husband was working. They had a daughter Faye who was born in Christopher, IL. Work soon got slow and her husband lost his job so they moved to Clay County, TN. This is where my husband Donald was born. When he was not quite nine months old they moved to Toledo, Ohio and then built a home where they remained until she died.
Beside her two children she had eight grandchildren,James Oscar,Jr., Richard Wayne, Sandra Lee, Linda Sue, Robin Marguerite, John Robert, Kimberly Faye, and Donald Andrew.
Two of the grandchildren are up in Heaven with her James Oscar and John Robert.
She had 17 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren after she passed away.
In the short time she lived, I understand she lived more than if she died old. She was so loved by everyone who knew her. Always a friend, never a stranger - She loved life and her children.
Yes, you are at peace and happiness now. We miss you more and more each day. Until we meet again, you are always in our hearts.
I want to thank everyone who has visited my dear sweet mother-in-law. I try to thank you personally but sometime it is overlooked for one reason or another. I do appreciate it very much.
