My Grandmother. Daughter of Carl & Alta (Wheeler) Westerlin, also buried in Overton Cemetery. After attending Kearney State Teachers College and serving as an elementary school teacher for some time, she married Ralph Burns on June 1, 1941 at the Overton United Methodist Church in Overton, NE. She was a lifelong member of that church, was active in the Overton High School Alumni Association, worked for many years in the family grocery store, was an avid golfer, and was a gentle and loving mother to two children (Jean and Bill) and five grandchildren (TJ, Stu, Beth, Brandon, and Kurt). A wonderful lady.
