James was born in Illinois. Moved to California as an adult. He was married three times. He leaves behind 4 children and 1 grandson. A man of many traits, he taught dancing at Arthur Murray Studios, took part in a trio singing group with 2 of his siblings which performed in the Bob Hope USO shows, fixed hot rods, and flew planes. Made careers being a trucker and a machinist. He passed away from prostate cancer in Los Angeles, CA.

My dad was sometimes a difficult man. He was an alcoholic and kept everything inside. He died when I was 23. I was too young to appreciate him and the difficult life I knew he had. Even though he isnt here physically, everyday I get older I have come to appreciate him and to understand he did the best he could. He will always be missed dearly. I love you dad.
