Surviving are one sister (Dorothy Grove) and one brother (Ralph). He was preceded in death by one brother (Carl H.). He was a member of North Lima Mennonite Church. Note added 2008: John never married. Spent his lifetime as farmer working family farm on 2000 block S Range Road, New Springfield with brother Ralph. He was an excellent clock repair man and spent quiet winters working his talent for others. He was also a beekeeper with brother Ralph and kept dairy cows. They sold honey and milk to the public at their farm. The beehives were sold to the Beuthey family just down the road living at old Hoffman farm on S Range Rd and the honey is still for sale. John Sprinkle, being always sharp and fresh on memory, identified many of the cemetery burials in Springfield Twp when members of Historical Society were preparing transcription books in 1976.
Note: Poster familiar with "The Sprinkles" and attended farm auction in 2002 and recall bottles and items marked "Harry Sprinkle". Many items well over 100 years old put up for sale. The home was an original log cabin to Springfield Township. It still looks the same today and remained with a (Hiet) relatives of Mrs Ruth Sprinkle. Also recall in 1970's an old woman lived there age 80-90 at that time. It was told she was an "aunt" - but never gave it much thought. Now I wonder who she was? Also recall asking brother Ralph if they were Menonites - his response - "no, my brother John joined the Menonite church within recent years"....
