BUSTILLO, Frank E., age 78, of Miamisburg passed away day at Miami Valley Hospital. He was preceded in death by his wife Marie in June 1982. He was a 1925 graduate of the University of Dayton.

At the time of his death he was survived by a son, Dr. Frank R. and wife Bettye of Miamisburg, grandchildren, Ginger (Bustillo) Masters, Frank E. , and Mark R. Bustillo;

Community prayers were held at the Gebhart-Schmidt-Parramore Funeral Home, Miamisburg, followed by Mass of Christian Burial at St. Henry's Catholic Church. Interment was at Calvary Cemetery.

Frank was born in Mexico City and became an American citizen (certificate 5838274) His family had immigrated from Llanes, Spain to Mexico city.


Engineer. Bachelor in Electrical Engineering Graduate of the University of Dayton, Class of 1925. Post Graduate work at the University of Mexico in Mechanical Engineering 1926 and 1927.

IN 1928 he went to work for the Brown Brockmeyer Co in Dayton in assembly of electric motors as asst to the Chief Engineer. He left there in 1933 due to the death of his Father and had to return to Mexico to take care of his estate.
IN July of 1933 to August of 1936 he worked for the General Machine shop in the Dept of communications in Mexico city Mexico as shop superintendant. He resigned from this position to return to the U.S.
In June of 1936 he worked for the Colorado River Land Co. Calexico California as a construction engineer. He surveyed and constructed irrigation canals. This work was on the land of the Colorado River Land Co in lower California, Mexico. He left this position to return to Dayton Ohio.

In this era the most common employment belief was that it was more important to employ US citizens so Frank had to move from job to job to stay employed.

In 1938 He worked for the Leland Electric Co in Dayton as Asst Chief engineer and Chief draftsman. He left there for a promotion as an engineer in the field of special machines and tools in October of 1940.
In Oct of 1940 he worked for the Universal tool co in Dayton Oh as Chief Tool engineer and Product engineer until 1947.
1947 is when he started working for The Niles Tool Works, Hamilton OH mechanical engineer leaving in 1950 to go to the Monarch Machine co. From Dec 1950 to July of 1951 for the Monarch Machine tool Co in Dayton Oh as a design engineer he left the position to go to Cleveland with Max De Haas division manager of the engineering dept of Monarch machine tool company. From 1951 to 1953 he worked for the Climatool Corp in Cleveland Designer of machine tools and single purpose automatic machines. He worked from April 1953 to March of 1954 for "Designers of Industry" Cleveland OH in charge of Machine tool division He left there to work for Wayne Works Inc Richmond IN as Methods and process engineer in the manufacture of bus bodies. He also worked for Litton and Garner Machine co, during the time of his lengthy engineering career he invented many things under the name of the companies he worked for. He had a brilliant mind for design, he was a very quiet man, he loved his wife and son and retired very late in life. He and his wife Maria had crazy Siamese cats and he enjoyed playing chess and was constantly taking things apart and repairing them. He was a devout Catholic and very proud of his family's Spanish heritage.



Beloved husband of Marie De Lille and devoted father of Dr. Frank R. Bustillo.
