GIRDLER, James Robert "Bob" age 58 of Brookville, Indiana passed away December 3, 2012 at McCollough Hyde Hospital in Oxford, Ohio. He was born on September 5, 1954 in Cincinnati, Ohio the son of Albert and Shirley (Leigh) Girdler. He attended Ross Local Schools. On December 28, 1971, In LaFollette, Tennessee, he married Laura Beth Lakes. Bob was employed by Fenton Rigging Company as a truck driver and rigger for 25 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #100 and was the founder of the Justin Girdler Memorial Softball Tournament. He is survived by his wife Laura Beth Girdler; one son, Jason Girdler and his wife, Shell; one grandson, Lane Girdler; his mother, Shirley Girdler; his mother and father -in-law, Earl and Lou Ann Lakes; two brothers, Steve Girdler and Alan (Angie) Girdler; a special nephew, Steven; and many other loving relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Albert Girdler and his son Justin Girdler. Visitation will be held at Charles C. Young Funeral Home, 4032 Hamilton Cleves Road, Ross, Ohio on Thursday, December 6, 2012 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Venice Cemetery in Ross, Ohio.
