Charles Brown, Kamaaiana, Dead: Passes at Hospital After Week's Illness:
Charles P. Brown, 129-K Keonaona Lane, off Bates Street, Kamaaina business man of Honolulu, died at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the Queen's Hospital. He had been ill since Saturday afternoon of last week.
The body will be on view at Williams Mortuary after 7 o'clock tonight and from 9 am until 3 pm Sunday, services to be held there at the latter hour. Burial will take place in Nuuanu Cemetery.
Brown was born in San Francisco on August 21, 1888, and was in his 47th year. He came to Hawaii with his parents when three years of age and made his home here since, being educated at the local schools. Brown was connected with E. O. Hall & Son, Ltd., for 27 years.
He was a member of the Recreation Commission, Honolulu Symphony Orchestra, and Honolulu Athletic club. He also was a member and former president of the Healani Rowing Club.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Carrie D. Brown; a son, Charles P. Brown Jr., 19, and a sister, Mrs. M. Hardy, of San Francisco.
