Nancy Carrington Davis was a daughter of Randolph Carrington and Katherine McGary. She was born in Kentucky and the family moved to Missouri in the mid 1820's.
On 19 Jan 1840 she married Elisha K. Davis. They moved several times, ending up in Iowa. Her husband died there and she came back to Callaway Co. Mo. with her nine children. By the late 1870's she was living on a farm with some of her children and her nephew, Nathanial Carrington (my great grandfather).
