Thomas O'Dell Compton, 85, of Paducah, formerly of Cadiz, died at 6:50 pm Wednesday at Riverfront Terrace Health Care Facility.
Mr. Compton was retired from the Illinois Central Railroad. He was a member of West End Baptist Church and a 50 year member of Masonic Lodge No. 127 F&AM.
Surviving are his wife, Flossie Compton; one son, Gerald Compton of Carbondale, Ill.; one brother, Jack Spiceland Compton of DOver, Tenn.; one sister, Irene Thomas of Bowling Green; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one sister, two brothers, and a half brother. His parents were Charlie and Daisy Shelton Compton.
Services will be at 2 pm Saturday at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Burial will be in Union Hill Cemetery in Trigg County.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 pm today.
