"MRS. MANIE JEWELL
Mrs. Manie Williamson Jewell, 124 S. Jesup Ave., died this morning at Jennie Stuart Hospital at the age of 85.
Mrs. Jewell was born July 23, 1884, in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Hugh and Harriet Cox Williamson. She was the widow of Lloyd Jewell, who died in 1934. A daughter, Lena Mae Haile, preceded her in death in 1935.
She is survived by two sons, Leamon Jewell, Dayton, Ohio, and Garlon Jewell, of the county; a daughter, Mrs. Viola Overbey, city; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Jewell was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Services are pending at Fuqua-Hinton Funeral Home, where friends may call Sunday after 8 a.m. Burial will be in Rogers Cemetery."
