Obituaries 09-09-04 Longview News-Journal Roy Lee Harwell Lakeview MG KILGORE-Graveside services for Roy Lee Harwell, 83, longtime resident of Kilgore, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept 10, 2004, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mr. Harwell lost his battle with cancer on Monday. Roy was born in Four Mile, Okla., on Dec 19, 1920. After being raised in Oklahoma, he married in 1940 and served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He then moved his family to Kilgore in 1946.He retired from Texas Eastman in 1983. Many people in East Texas will remember him and his dog, Major, riding on top of his pickup cab. He will be missed very much by all of his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Pearl Kimball Harwell; and son Rusty Len; his parents, Felbert Luther and Mary Caroline "Carrie" Wyrick Harwell; stepmother, Delphia Clark Harwell; and his brother Venton, Marvin and Delbert Harwell. He is survived by his daughter, Angeline Fierros of Kilgore; sons and daughter-in-law, Ron Harwell of Kilgore and Rocky and Shelby Harwell of Granbury; sisters and brothers; Dorothy Moser of Cookeville, Tenn., Penny and Tom McCoy of Modesto, Calif.; Les and Charlie Harwell of Sparks, Nev., sue and Cecil Pratt of Clovis., Calif., Jerry and Flo Harwell of Modesto, Calif., and Anna and Cal Rader of Santa Rosa, Calif.; grandchildren, Thomas Lee Fierros of Pompano Beach, Fla., Tony and Tyra Fierros of Barlett, Tenn., Chris and Maria Fierros of Canton, Mich., Rocky Lee II and David Len Harwell of Bluff City, Tenn., Sara and Jack Webb of Greenwood, S.C., Katie Harwell of Glen Rose and Mary Ellen Harwell of Marshall; great-grandchildren, Toni Jacqueline and Lilly Angeline Fierros of Tennessee, Anna Marie, Wayne Colvin and Jessica Harwell of Tennessee, Tyler, Ariel and Aaron Webb of South Carolina, Camren, Rusty and Jocelyn Harwell of Texas, David and Dakota Harwell of Tennessee; and great-great-grandchildren, Conner and Mickey Colvin.
