Edwin J. Mueller, 79, of W1846 County Highway H, New Holstein, died Sunday, Dec. 7, 1986 at Calumet Homestead Nursing Home where he was a resident for the past six months.

He was born May 9, 1907, in the Town of Brothertown, Calumet County, a son to Joseph and Mary Bercham Mueller. On July 9, 1930, he married Agnes Loehr in Dotyville.

Mr. Mueller attended Charlesburg schools and farmed in Charlesburg. He was a janitor for the New Holstein public schools for 12 years and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg, and the church's Holy Name Society. He was a member of Chilton Eagles Aerie No. 1288.

Survivors include his wife of New Holstein; one daughter, Mrs. Thomas (Mary) Schwartz of New Holstein; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clarence of Chilton and Clem and E. John, both of New Holstein; and one sister, Mrs. Michael (Elvina) Fassbender of Appleton. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Erbe-Evjen Funeral Home and at 11 a.m. at St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg. The Rev. David Christel will officiate. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call today from 4 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home and Tuesday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.
