Rites Set for Floyd Wreck Victim
CHARLES CITY - Military funeral services will be Wednesday for Carl Boggess, 33, of Charles City, who died at Cedar Valley hospital here Sunday from injuries received in an auto accident Friday.
Services will be at 2:30 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Burial will be in Sunnyside Memory Gardens. Hauser funeral home, Charles City, is in charge.
Authorities said that Mr. Boggess' car went off Hwy. 14 outside Charles City, rolled over in a ditch and hit a telephone pole. He suffered a concussion, skull fracture and dislocated hip in the accident.
Mr. Boggess was a salesman for a Des Moines Biscuit Co. Survivors include his wife; two children, Carl Leroy Jr and Caven Lynn at home, his parents Mrs. & Mrs. Glenn Boggess, his grandmother, Mrs. Alta Boggess, Charles City; three brothers, Wilbur, Plainfield, Kenneth and Dennis, both of Charles City; a sister, Mrs. Clyde Reasland, Mason City.
