Jack D. Bailey, 74, of Ocala, passed on Saturday, October 19, 2013 in Ocala. He was born on January 18, 1939 in Closplint, KY, son to the late Virgil B. and Armina M. (Cheek) Bailey. Jack was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He spent his life working in construction. He enjoyed playing golf. Jack was a member at Maranatha Baptist Church of Marion Oaks and a lifemember of the D.A.V. His survivors include his daughter Sheila Bailey of CO; grandson Clayton Bailey of CO; sisters Janice Harvey and her husband Edward of NY and Marguerite Kirby and her husband James of Ohio; step-sons Johnnie E. George and his wife Sharon of VA and Rick D. George and his wife Joanie of MO. nieces and nephews; Donna James of NY, Dwayne Kirby and his wife Robin of OH, Kent Kirby and his wife Amy of TX and Jeanette King and her husband Doug of Ohio: great nieces and nephews; Janelle Chaffin, Rachel King, Morgan King, Sarah Kirby, Kyle Kirby, Trevor Jones, Aaron Kirby and Madeline Kirby. Visitation will be held in The TimberRidge Chapel of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 9695 SW 110th St. Ocala on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. Services will be on Friday October 25th at 11:00AM at Maranatha Baptist Church, 525 Marion Oaks Trail, Ocala with Rev. T. William Fortune officiating.
