Hannah was the daughter of Daniel Williams Jr. (of Charlton) & Elizabeth Sumner (of Pomfret, CT).

Hannah's mother died when she was only 6, and so she and her two siblings were raised by her father solely for the next 9 years.

Her father remarried in July of 1763, and Hannah stayed home long enough to help with the next 3 siblings she would have by this new marriage.

She married a Worcester coach and chaise maker, Benjamin Goddard, in Charlton on 14 Nov 1769. Benjamin was the son of Benjamin & Grace (Fiske) Goddard of Watertown. Ben later became a deacon, being known as "Deacon Benjamin Goddard". (Hannah was the 1st wife of 3 he would eventually have)

They took up housekeeping in Shrewsbury, and began a family.
Their children, all born in Shrewsbury, were:

Samuel, b. 2 AUG 1772,
Benjamin, b. 11 OCT 1778,
Sarah, b. 13 APR 1781,
Grace, b. 14 FEB 1784,
Elizabeth, b. 16 SEP 1786,
George Sumner, b. 8 APR 1789,
Lydia, b. 26 JUN 1791,
Nathan Fiske, b. 30 JUN 1793, &
Artemas, b. 18 OCT 1795.

Hannah passed away at the young age of 46, two years after the birth of the last Goddard son, and sadly never lived to see her entire family reach maturity.
