She was born in Windber, Pa. on Christmas Day 1944. She was the daughter of the late Edward G. and Jeanette F. (Caton) Snyder. She was the wife of the late Larry N. "Big Larry" Custer, Sr., who died on Oct. 2, 1994.
Linda was a homemaker to her beloved family. She attended the Rockville Mennonite Church. She enjoyed being with her family and was a very proud grandmother.
She is survived by 2 sons, Larry N. Custer, Jr. and Randy L. Custer both of Honey Brook; 2 daughters, Doreen K. Force of Narvon and Karen M. Custer-Force of Honey Brook; a brother, David Snyder of South Fork; and a sister, Carol Lybarger of Johnstown. There are also 7 grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 8, 2011 at 11 AM from The Labs Funeral Home, Inc., 141 Pequea Ave., Honey Brook. Interment will follow at the Honey Brook Methodist Cemetery. A calling hour will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 PM and one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made in the memory of Linda to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, 125 S. 9th St., Suite # 202, Philadelphia, Pa. 19107.
