Fred Boettcher, 55, Willamette, died suddenly Sunday afternoon while at work in the Publishers Paper Company Mill at Oregon City. Death apparently was due to a heart attack according to the Clackamas County coroners office.
Born, July 20, 1894, in Crozier Iowa, he had resided in Oregon 27 years and in Willamette 23 years. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of Local 68 Pulp, Sulphite and Paper Mill Workers Union.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Emma Boettcher; his mother, Mrs. August Boettcher, Willamette; four sons, Melvin, Oregon City; Garold, Richmond, Calif.; Paul and Kenneth, Willamette; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Middleton, Milwaukie and Helen Boettcher, Willamette; four brothers, George, Oregon City; Walter, Vancouver, Wash.; William in Minnesota, and August in Iowa; six sisters, Mrs. Hannah Klingbell in Minnesota; Mrs. Silvia Sies, Portland; Mrs. Jesse (Evalena) Shannon, Willamette; Mrs. Bud (Hilda) Logsdon, Mrs. Clifford (Martha) Robins and Mrs. Gilbert (Laura) Woodward, West Linn, and seven grandchildren.
Holman-Hankins-Rilance Funeral Home, Oregon City, is in charge.
