"In loving rememberance of sister Arthusa Keith, formerly Sutton, whose sweet spirit left this world of suffering Jan. 25, 1902, at 4 o'clock a.m. Sister Keith familiarly known as Grandma Keith, was born in Garret Co, KY, Sept. 22, 1822. When about two years of age, she came to Boone Co., MO from thence she came to Grundy Co., MO in 1842. In 1844 she was united in marriage to William A. Keith. She was the mother of 6 children - 2 sons and 4 daughters, four of whom have preceded her to the better world. One son and one daughter, with a large number of grandchildren and several great-grandchildren are left to mourn her loss. She was converted early in life and joined the Baptist Church. She afterward united with the M.E. Church for a time, and about 35 years ago, she became a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, in which connection she has lived a devoted life ever adoring the doctrine of God, and her saviour. Mrs. Keith's husband died Nov. 7, 1860, and she lived a widow over 41 years, loyal to the memory of the companion of her youth. Now the parting is ended, the meeting has come, the night is past, the day is at hand - eternal day by the crystal."
