Charles Dixon Bailiff, 77, of Elk Park died Wednesday October 18, 2006 at his residence.
Son of the late Rush Floyd and Carrie Smith Bailiff he was a member of the Elk Park Christian Church and the Cranberry Masonic Lodge #598 A.F. & A.M. and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He worked as a bookkeeper for Holiday Inn and Cannon Memorial Hospital and he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Mary Belle Johnson Bailiff, a son Robert Bailiff and a sister Beatrice Winters.
Survivors include two daughters Charlene Ward and husband Harold of Elk Park and Rose Hampton and husband George of Altamont; a son Charles R. Bailiff and wife Cindy of Austell, GA; a sister JoAnn Ruff and husband Bill of Mableton, GA and a brother Stewart Bailiff also of Mableton, GA. He is also survived by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Interment will follow in the Heaton Cemetery.
