CLINTON -- Della Lois Mitchell Andersen passed away Sunday, February 15, 2009 at her home. She was born May 28, 1927 in Upalco, Utah, the daughter of Nathaniel Alfred and Susie Hicks Mitchell.
She married Rosel Griffin Andersen on June 20, 1945 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple; Rosel passed away May 8, 1990.
She was an active member of the Westwood LDS Ward in Farr West, Utah. She was also a member of Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.
She retired from IRS after 20-plus years of service.
She enjoyed quilting, gardening and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her children: Marion (Joy) Andersen, Cheryl (Floyd) Barton,
Allen Andersen, Evan Andersen, Susan (Dennis) Smith and Kristeen (Pete) Sherman; a sister, Verna Hansen; 19 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, five sisters and two brothers.
Funeral services will be held Friday, February 20, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy where friends and family may call Friday from 11 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. prior to services. Interment, Aultorest Memorial Park, 836 36th St., Ogden.
