Judah Gibbs, age 12
Moses Gibbs, age 10
In the 1860 Census, Obediah Gibbs is enumerated in Northeast, Adams County, Illinois with his wife, Mary and two children, Juliet Gibbs and Moses Gibbs. According to the U.S. IRS Tax Assessment Lists for 1863-1864 available on Ancestry.com, Obadiah ran a hotel in LaPrairie, Illinois.
Mary died in 1866 at the age of 67. Apparently, Obadiah married Mrs. Mary Ann Neff that December. She is also buried in Pulaski Cemetery. She died at age 64 in 1886. Apparently, Obadiah was married again soon after, in July 1884, to a Mrs. Elizabeth Browning.
In the 1870 Census, living next to his father, Obadiah's son, Gideon is enumerated as "Obadiah G. Gibbs." His wife is Sarah and they have a daughter, Eliza A. of the correct age to be Find A Grave Memorial# 51282524.
At the time their father's estate was probated in Adams County, Illinois, James T. Gibbs was to be contacted via the post office in Manderson, Nebraska and Gideon Gibbs at Kansas City, Missouri.
