POLKTON, NC ~ Terry "Mike" Mitchell, 49, died Thursday, June 9, 2009 at his home. Born November 14, 1959 in Dade County, FL, he was a son of Margaret "Marty" Hegler Mitchell and the late Joseph Estridge Mitchell. He was preceded in death by a son, Jammie Michael Mitchell. A Funeral Service to Celebrate the Life of Mike will be held Sunday, July 12, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Harmony Community Church with burial to follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1 p.m. until service time in the church fellowship building. In addition to his mother, Mr. Mitchell is survived by his wife, Maxine of the home; sons, Jason Ray Mitchell of Gaffney and Kenny Mitchell of Georgia; brothers, Duane Mitchell of Charlotte and Danny Mitchell of Westfield, NC; sisters, Lori Langdon of Mint Hill and Kimberly Smith of Welcome, NC. The family suggests memorials be made to the Harmony Community Church. The Morgan & Son Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Mitchell.
