Mrs. Amy Ida Davenport, 84, of Catching Creek died July 3 in Myrtle Point. She was born Sept. 25, 1886 in Ferndale, Calif. a daughter of William W. and Mary Ferrill Goble. Mrs. Davenport was a member of the United Methodist Church of Myrtle Point and the Friendly Neighbors of Catching Creek. She married Albert R. (Bert) Davenport on March 9, 1904 in Grizzly Bluff, Calif., and they had resided in the Myrtle Point area the past 67 years.
In addition to the widower she is survived by sons, Albert, Rodney and Lloyd, Myrtle Point, and Ernest of Salem; daughters Bernice Haughton, Sonora, Calif.; Dolores Larsen, Broadbent; Audrey Holt, Redway, Calif.; Lois Schmidt, Los Angeles and Lila Ochletree, Myrtle Point; brothers, Clyde Goble, Fortuna, and Ferrell Goble in Washington; sisters, Stella Early, Ferndale; Gertrude Wahl, Fortuna. Also surviving are 29 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
