Mrs. Rosa Fohl, nee Schuck, was born near Cedar Grove, Franklin County, Ind., Feb. 23, 1886. Educated at Guardian Angel School, she grew to womanhood in the neighborhood in which she was born. On June 2, 1911, she was married to Charles Fohl, of Cedar Grove. In her married life she displayed the virtues of the home-maker. Her home being always a model of neatness, system, contentment and comfort. She was devoted to her husband and their happy home in which mutual love made great sacrifices, pleasing kindnesses was often remarked by friends. She was a gentle, thoughtful, self sacrificing mother, whose ideal of holy motherhood was most elevated and of the noblest type. Mrs. Fohl died at Cedar Grove, Dec. 29, 1919 , at the early age of 33 years, 30 months and 6 days. She was a devout Catholic and a life-long member of Guardian Angel Church.

She passed away well prepared with the Holy Sacraments. She leaves to mourn their loss besides her husband, three children, Katherine. aged 7, Mary, 5 and Charles, 4; (infant Claris lived but six days and was buried with her mother); four brothers, John, Charles, George and Edward, three sisters, Mrs. Val Metzler, of White Water Township; Mrs. B. A. Clark, of Los Angeles, Cal., and Miss Mary Schuck, and her mother, Mrs. Mary Schuck, of Cedar Grove, and a host of relatives and friends, who held her in the highest esteem. A mother dear from us has gone, A voice we loved is stilled, A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled, God in his wisdom has recalled, The boon his love had given, And though the body slumbers here, The soul is safe in heaven.

Funeral services were conducted by Rev. C. A. Cleaver at Guardian Angel Church Jan. 1, 1920. Interment in Guardian Angel Cemetery.
