J.T. Wardlaw, a pioneer citizen of the county, died at his home near Pleasant Valley Saturday, December 9, and funeral services and burial was at the Pleasant Valley cemetery Sunday afternoon. Services were conducted by Wythe Adams of Gassville. Mr. Wardlaw was a member of the Methodist church, a good citizen and held in high esteem by his friends and associates. He is survived by his wife and four children, Mrs. J.W. Barnett of Gassville, Mrs. Eva Reed of Little Rock, W.D. Wardlaw of Philadelphia and T.M. Wardlaw, Oklahoma City.
