ACTON - W.T. "Bud" Purselley, a retired iron worker for Otis Elevators, died Tuesday at his home. He was 79. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Burial will be in Nubbin Ridge Cemetery in Hood County.
Mr. Purselley was born in Hood County and lived in the Granbury and Acton area for the past 45 years. He was a deacon at Acton Baptist Church and was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Masonic Lodge.
Survivors: Wife, Willie Mae Purselley of Acton; son, Jon Allen Purselley of Santa Fe, New Mexico; three daughters, Barbara Lusk, Jan Tumlinson and Grace Qualls, all of Acton; brother, D.M. Purselley of Fort Worth; sister, Grace Vaughn of Granbury; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
