OBITUARY
Ada Doty was born in Green Lake, Wis., on October 18, 1879 and died at her home ten miles northwest of Leedey, Okla., on June 11, 1947, at 10:45 a.m., at the age of 67 years, 7 months and 23 days.
Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Friday, June 13, 1947, at the Leedey Methodist church, with Rev. J. I. Clinton in charge. Burial was in Shirley cemetery.
She moved to Custer county, Nebraska, in 1882. She remained there and was united in marriage to Jacob D. Bailey in 1897. To this union five children were born, all of whom are left to mourn her passing. They are: three sons, Emery, Alfred and Lue, all of Leedey, and two daughters, Martha Phenix of Denton, Tex., and Winnie Tackett of Panhandle, Tex. Eleven grandchildren and five sisters also survive.
Her husband, one grandchild and three sisters preceded her in death.
Mr. and Mrs. Bailey, pioneers of this section, came to Day county, Oklahoma, in a covered wagon in 1899.
Mrs. Bailey united with the Quaker (Friends) church in 1912. She was an affectionate mother and was loved by all who knew her.
