"Nelson G Witten was born: 7 June 1836 in Cole Co, Missouri, m. Margaret Miller 12 Sep 1859 in Miller Co, Missouri, died: 20 Dec 1905 Ellis Co, Texas. Nelson G Witten, is the child or John Greenup Witten and Isaphenia Go Dancy McKenzie.
The Benjamin Franklin "Doc" Witten, referred to earlier, was born: 30 Oct 1846 in Miller Co, Mo and Died: 16 Feb 1917 in Wilson Co, Tx. He is a brother of Nelson G Witten. Benjamin Franklin "Doc" Witten was also a child of John Greenup Witten and Isaphenia McKenzie. Benjamin "Doc" Witten, did have a child he named Nelson G. Witten, born: 14 Oct 1884 Tx, Died: 1943 Wilson Co, Tx."

"Vesta Witten (b. 1811) of Monroe Co. Ohio, was the child of Peter Witten 1786-1855 (son of Phillip - who was the son of Thomas Witten of Tazwell, VA) and Rachel Bowen 1785-1874. She was married to Thomas McKenzie (1806-1835). They had one daughter, my g.g.g.Grandmother. She had a child Rebecca Mckenzie Hoskinson (died young leaving 2 daughters-Virginia and Ella). Not much info found on Vesta. Any info on this line would be greatly appreciated."
