HOLLANDALE - Walter Dempsey Jones, 80, retired welder for C.A. Hall Sheet Metal Products, died of heart failure Tuesday at Delta Regional Medical Center in Greenville. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Boone Funeral Home in Leland with burial in Hollandale Cemetery. He was a Baptist and former farmer. Mr. Jones, the widower of Hazel Pope Jones, leaves two daughters, Barbara J. Blackburn of Arcola and Dixie J. Parker of Belzoni; six sons, Walter R. Jones of Kingsport, Tenn., James Ronni e Jones of Webster City, Iowa, Albert L. Jones of Belzoni, Mitchell G. Jones of Jackson, Gary L. Jones of Ocean Springs and Darry L. Jones of Avon; four sisters, Ruby J. McIntosh of Philadelphia, and Betty J. Odle, Mary J. Ramsey and Margaret J. Oswalt, all of Greenville; two brothers, Charlie Jones Jr. of Leland and Fred Jones of Hollandale, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
