He died June 30,1998 in the Claiborne County Hospital.
He was a long time member and deacon of The Dry
Valley Baptist Church.
He was preceeded in death by his wife Nora (Lamb) Young;daughter Dorothy Jean Young;his parents; two brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include son Mitchell Young,Franklin,Ohio;Merlin Young of Thorne Hill,Tenn.;Dean Young of Russelleville,Tenn.;five grandchildren;six great-grandchildren;brother Horace Young of Franklin,Ohio;sisters Mae Rose of Thorne Hill,Tenn.,and Louisa Seals of Morristown,Tenn.as well as several other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 P.M. Thursday July 2nd at The Dry Valley Baptist Church with Rev. Curt Reed and Rev. Kyle Gregory Jr. officating. Singers were the Wolfe Family. Burial in the Young Cemetery.
Pallbearers:Burl Harville,Wayne McDaniel,Orville Lee Owens,Earl Harville,Joe Young,Dale Young and Elliott Reed. Coffey Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
