Pearl C. Morford Resident of Concord Pearl C. Morford, age 104, passed away August 11, 2007. She was married four times and was preceded in death by each of them. She was born in Exeter, Missouri on Sept. 5, 1902 and resided there with her family until the early 1940s. The family then moved to Richmond, CA, as there was no work to be found. She found a job working in the ship yards during the war. After the war, they then moved to Clyde, CA, and she worked as a cook at the Clyde Hotel. In the early 1950s they moved to Concord and took up permanent residence there. Her hobbies included sewing, cooking, gardening and reading. She was also affiliated with the Concord Senior Citizens and the Rebecca Lodge. She was a past president of the Concord Seniors. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Irene Jarvis and Nadine DiLallo; her granddaughters, Carol McKay and Kay Walling; and her great-grandson, Anthony McKay. The remaining living descendents include 4 granddaughters, 14 great-grandchildren, 37 great-great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-great-grandchildren. Friends are invited to attend funeral services Friday, August 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Oakmont's Inspiration Chapel, 2099 Reliez Valley Rd., Lafayette. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at Oakmont Mortuary. Interment, Oakmont Memorial Park, Lafayette. Oakmont Mortuary.
